Psoriasis is one of the most stubborn and frustrating skin diseases. Skin cells multiply up to 10 times faster than normal. Layers of skin surface and die, causing raised, red plaques covered with white scales. Typically, psoriasis occurs on the scalp, knees, elbows, torso, palm and soles of the feet.
